Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using WakeelsApp. By downloading, installing, or using the application, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WakeelsApp — the mobile application and associated website at wakeelsapp.com (collectively, the "Service") operated by WakeelsApp ("we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of a law firm or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
WakeelsApp is designed exclusively for licensed legal professionals in Pakistan. To use the Service you must:
- Be a qualified lawyer or legal professional registered with a recognised Pakistani bar council
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Pakistani law
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under any applicable laws
We reserve the right to verify your bar council membership at any time and to suspend accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Keep your password secure and not share it with anyone
- Notify us immediately at support@wakeelsapp.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- Accept responsibility for all actions taken under your account
4. Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your lawful professional legal practice, including:
- Managing your legal cases and client matters
- Tracking court hearings and deadlines
- Storing and organising case-related documents
- Using WakeelAI for legal research and professional assistance
- Setting reminders for professional obligations
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable Pakistani law or regulation, or the Pakistan Bar Council Rules
- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent case or client information
- Impersonate another lawyer, legal professional, or any other person
- Share your account credentials with any other person
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any other user's data or our systems
- Use the Service to store or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringing
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools against the Service
- Resell, sublicence, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent
6. WakeelAI — Important Disclaimer
WakeelAI is a legal research tool, not a substitute for professional legal judgement.
WakeelAI provides AI-generated legal information and research assistance. You acknowledge and agree that:
- WakeelAI does not provide legal advice. Its responses are informational only and do not constitute legal advice or create an attorney-client relationship between you and WakeelsApp.
- AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You are solely responsible for verifying any information before relying on it in professional practice.
- WakeelAI should be used as a starting point for research, not a final authority. All legal determinations remain your professional responsibility as a qualified lawyer.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any WakeelAI response.
- WakeelsApp shall not be liable for any consequences arising from reliance on WakeelAI outputs in legal proceedings or client matters.
7. Your Data
You retain ownership of all case data, documents, and content you upload to WakeelsApp ("Your Data"). By uploading Your Data, you grant us a limited licence to process and store it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
We do not claim ownership of Your Data. We will not access Your Data except as necessary to provide technical support at your explicit request, or as required by Pakistani law. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with your professional obligations regarding client confidentiality under the Pakistan Bar Council Rules and applicable law.
8. Intellectual Property
The WakeelsApp application, website, WakeelAI system, branding, and all associated content (excluding Your Data) are owned by WakeelsApp and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, WakeelsApp and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including:
- Loss of data or case information
- Consequences of missed hearings or deadlines
- Reliance on WakeelAI outputs in legal matters
- Interruption or unavailability of the Service
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, as the Service is free, may be PKR 0).
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
10. Termination
You may delete your account and terminate your use of the Service at any time through the app's account settings or by submitting a request at wakeelsapp.com/account-deletion.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if we determine that you have violated these Terms, provided false information, or if required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service or applicable law. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore, Pakistan.
