Short version: WakeelsApp collects only what is necessary to run the service. We never sell your data. Your case information is your property. You can delete everything at any time.
1. Overview
WakeelsApp ("we", "our", "us") operates the WakeelsApp mobile application and the website at wakeelsapp.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect from users ("you"), how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your data.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We are committed to the privacy of the lawyers and legal professionals who trust us with sensitive case information.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account & Registration Data
When you create a WakeelsApp account, we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number (for OTP verification)
- Bar council name and membership/enrollment number
- Law firm or chamber name (optional)
- Province / city of practice
2.2 Case & Professional Data
Data you voluntarily enter into the app to manage your legal practice:
- Case names, case numbers, and case descriptions
- Names of parties (petitioner, respondent, witnesses)
- Court names, judge names, and case status
- Hearing dates, outcomes, and adjournment details
- Case notes and internal memos
- Documents and files you upload (PDFs, images, etc.)
- Reminders and calendar events
2.3 WakeelAI Interaction Data
When you use WakeelAI:
- Text queries you submit to WakeelAI
- AI-generated responses
- Session identifiers and timestamps
2.4 Technical & Usage Data
Automatically collected when you use the app:
- Device type, Android version, and unique device identifiers
- App version number
- Features used and frequency of use (anonymised)
- Crash reports and error logs
- IP address and approximate location (country/city level)

4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
4.1 Service Providers
We use trusted third-party services to operate WakeelsApp, including cloud hosting and AI processing providers. These providers process data only on our behalf, under strict data processing agreements, and may not use your data for their own purposes.
4.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by Pakistani law, court order, or government authority. We will notify you of such disclosures where legally permitted to do so.
4.3 Business Transfers
If WakeelsApp is acquired or merges with another entity, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.
4.4 With Your Consent
We will share your data with third parties only when you explicitly consent to us doing so.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers with the following protections:
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher
- Encryption at rest: Stored data including case files and documents is encrypted at rest
- Access controls: Only authorised personnel with a legitimate need can access production data
- Authentication: Multi-factor authentication is required for administrative access
- Monitoring: Our systems are monitored 24/7 for security threats and unusual activity
While we implement strong security measures, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and enable biometric authentication within the app.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account:
- Account profile, case data, documents, and AI history are deleted within 30 days
- Anonymised usage logs may be retained for up to 90 days for fraud prevention and security purposes
- Backups are fully purged within 90 days
To delete your account, visit wakeelsapp.com/account-deletion or go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account in the app.
7. WakeelAI Data
When you use WakeelAI, your queries are processed to generate responses. We handle this data as follows:
- Queries and responses are stored in your personal AI session history, visible only to you
- Anonymised, aggregated query patterns (not linked to your identity or specific cases) may be used to improve AI model quality
- We do not use your WakeelAI queries to train models in a way that could expose identifiable information to other users
- Your AI history is deleted when you delete your account or individual sessions
We strongly advise against including real client names, CNIC numbers, or other highly sensitive personally identifiable information in WakeelAI queries.
8. Attorney-Client Privilege & Confidentiality
We understand that lawyers have strict professional obligations of confidentiality under the Pakistan Bar Council Rules and applicable law. WakeelsApp is designed with these obligations in mind:
- Your case data is stored in a private, account-specific space and is not accessible to other users
- We do not review, analyse, or access your case notes, documents, or client information except as required for technical support at your explicit request
- You remain solely responsible for ensuring your use of WakeelsApp complies with your professional obligations of client confidentiality
9. Your Rights

WakeelsApp is intended solely for licensed legal professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under 18 years of age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
11. Cookies & Tracking (Website)
Our website (wakeelsapp.com) uses only essential cookies required for basic site functionality. We do not use:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Third-party analytics tools that share your data externally
- Social media tracking pixels
The WakeelsApp mobile application does not use browser cookies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via:
- In-app notification at least 14 days before the change takes effect
- Email notification to your registered address
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of WakeelsApp after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
